If you haven’t heard from me in a while it is because I have been roughing it in the Redwoods of northwestern California. You may have thought I flew to New Orleans or Tennessee but just as I was about to flip a coin and book a flight accordingly, Macaino Complaino suggested we go camping instead. Without supplies, warm clothing, or a plan, we ultimately made our way about 760 miles north of LA and found ourselves in Bigfoot’s native Humboldt County.
News in the Bigfoot department has been unusually quiet the past decade. I am embarrassed to admit that I had nearly forgotten about the 1987 classic film Harry and the Hendersons until quite recently. Perhaps the species was facing extinction, or even adapting to new terrains to avoid dangerous encounters with humans’ meddling curiosity. Whatever the reason, I was determined to prove once and for all that Bigfoot, Sasquatch – whatever you call him – IS REAL.
To be honest, my findings were astounding. Check out this shot taken from a hike on the Rhododendron Trail in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. If you look closely you can see the outline of an ape-like form walking on two feet:
Anyone else have any Bigfoot evidence? Please share for my files. And let me know if you want an invitation to my Harry and the Hendersons viewing party. Happy 2011 everyone.
